Lead Siding Installer

Job Summary

Lead Siding Installers are responsible for coordinating and completing the work of a job with an assigned crew according to a scope and schedule drafted by the Project Manager while simultaneously delivering Cedar Mill Exterior's Values and Mission to redeem the culture and experience of the construction industry.

A siding lead job typically entails leading a crew, coordinating siding installations, ensuring quality and safety, and acting as a point of contact for project managers and clients, while also performing siding installation tasks themselves.

Responsibility

Leadership and Coordination:

  • Leading a Crew: Directing and supervising a team of siding installers, ensuring they understand tasks and work efficiently.

  • Coordinating Projects: Working with project managers to understand project scopes, schedules, and budgets.

  • Communication: Communicating effectively with project managers, clients, and other subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.

  • Problem-Solving: Identifying and resolving issues that may arise during the installation process.

Siding Installation and Quality:

  • Performing Siding Installation: Installing various types of siding materials, including vinyl, metal, wood, and fiber cement.

  • Ensuring Quality: Maintaining high standards of workmanship and ensuring that siding is installed correctly and securely.

  • Following Plans and Specifications: Interpreting construction plans and specifications to ensure accurate installation.

  • Using Tools and Equipment: Utilizing hand tools, power tools, and other equipment necessary for siding installation.

  • Measuring and Cutting: Accurately measuring and cutting siding materials to fit various building configurations.

  • Waterproofing and Sealing: Ensuring proper waterproofing and sealing of siding joints and penetrations.

Job Site Management:

  • Safety: Maintaining a safe and clean job site, adhering to safety procedures and regulations.

  • Material Management: Ensuring that necessary materials are available and properly stored.

  • Time Management: Keeping projects on schedule and within budget.

  • Customer Service: Providing excellent customer service to internal and external clients.

  • Cleanliness: Maintaining a clean and organized job site.

Requirements

  • On the Job specific training to be expected.

  • Previous experience Required.

  • References required.

  • Tools and tool bags required.

  • Reliable transportation required. 

  • Must provide years of experience in field and experience examples.
